Those regions of the cerebellar cortex whose predominant afferent fibres arise from the ganglion vestibulare and the vestibular nuclei; structures included under this term are nodulus, flocculus, ventral parts of the uvula and small ventral parts of the lingula.
Synonym: archeocerebellum.
