A medical term used to refer to a condition or state in which a woman is bearing a child for the first time and/or has given birth to an offspring at one time.

In obstetrics, a woman’s obstetrical history is determined, recorded, and classified based on the number of times she has given birth. Primiparity is used to denote to women that has given birth the first time.
