”’slime molds
organisms that contain true nuclei and resemble both protists and fungi (see fungus). They are grouped within the kingdom fungi, although in some classification systems slime molds are included in the kingdom protista.
They grow on dung and decaying vegetation and have a life cycle characterized by a slimelike amoeboid stage and a multicellular reproductive stage.
