A word termination indicating the maintenance of (or maintaining) a constant level, preventing increase or multiplication.
Origin: Gr. = a standing still
An abnormal state in which the normal flow of a liquid (such as blood) is slowed or stopped.Inactivity resulting from a static balance between opposing forces.Stability, remaining the same or to the norm.
